Inspired by the Cat in the Hat

Okay how about rhyming instead of singing.... I ran 14 miles in 8-10F and snow. I broke my yaktrax metal coils in 2 places and just sent them off in the mail so I could get replacements.

I was out in the cold for about 2.5 hours and everything started to hurt: my face, my muscles, my bones, and my brain.

I said to myself (and I talk to myself quite often), "Jody, If you run this here, you can run this anywhere"...and then Dr. Suess took over and I turned into a frozen running poet.

I will run it in the snow.
I will run at 5 below.
I will run it in the rain.
I will run throughout the pain.
I will run it in the wind.
I will run like I might win.
I will run when there is ice.
I will run my miles precise.
I will run it when it's hot.
I will give it all I've got.

I will SO run my miles as planned.
I will run.

Because Mom-I-Am.
