I Run...

..to chase down the younger, thinner, less tired version of myself.
...to have enough energy to keep up with my kid.
...to feel like old me.
...to forget about my never-ending To Do List.
...to get out of the house.
...to log a few more miles in my running log.
...because I am committed to my marathon training program.
...to socialize and catch up with friends.
...to feel a sense of freedom.
...to see parts of Omaha that I can't see by car.
...to be alone with myself and my thoughts.
...so I can eat cake.
...because it's free to do.
...I'm too clumsy to play other sports.
...because it's always a challenge.
...to justify having the ugliest feet ever.
...to burn the most calories in the least amount of time.
...to feel a sense of accomplishment afterwards.
...to be a better mother.
...to rock my baby to sleep.

What she looked like before being covered by the weather shield. It was 50F and sunny, but with 30mph SSW winds.
